Flamingo LIngo Card
I used Melon Mambo card stock to which I adhered a piece of Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper. The Flamingo is stamped on Whisper White card stock and matted on a piece of Pink Pirouette Card stock. I wrapped a piece of Black Bakers Twine around it and adhered it to the card with Dimensionals.
The banner is also in the Flamingo Lingo stamp set. I stamped it with Jet Black Stazon and die cut it with the matching Bitty Banner framelit. Adhered it to the card with Dimensionals and added 3 Black Candy Dots.
September is almost gone! We have had a day of very much needed rain. I hope it will help quench the fires. Tonight's sunset was VERY red, so I know there is still quite a bit of smoke in the air.
Thanks for checking my blog today.
Have a Blessed Day!

Flamingo Lingo All Occasion card
Okay, as I promised earlier, since I am done with supper (made burgers tonight), here's a card that I made. It is from a previous year's Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
I used the Ronald McDonald fundraiser stamp set from Stampin' Up!; Flamingo Lingo. I really like this stamp set. I hope that Stampin' Up! sells lots of them and raises tons of money for this very worthy cause.
Paper: Calypso Coral card stock, Melon Mambo card stock, Pink Pirrouette card stock, Basic Black card stock, Whisper White card stock, Coastal Cabana card stock,
Stamp set: Flamingo Lingo
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral
Embossing folders: Fancy Fan, Decorative Dots
Embossing Dies: Oval Collection Framelits, Large Scallop Edgelit
Punch: Petite Petals, bird builder
Ribbon: Crisp Cantaloupe thick baker's twine
Bling: Rhinestone basic jewels
Well, that's it for tonight. Thanks for visiting and remember to leave a comment to get your name in the drawing for the blog candy...a stamped card from my studio!
Thanks and have a Happy, Safe 4th of July! God Bless America!

By the Tide and Flamingo Lingo Card
When Stampin' Up! creates new stamp sets that have a nautical or beach theme I have to get it. I believe I have all their current sets with those themes.
My interest in ocean stuff extends to more than just cards. I have bright saltwater fish decorating my bathroom (previously it was decorated with shells). My bedroom is decorated with lighthouses.
I think that my love of the ocean and everything about it probably began when I was very young. My family visited my Aunt, Uncle and cousins who lived right above Agate Beach, Oregon. Today is my Aunt's and Uncle's 70th wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary Doris and Roy! They still live near Newport, OR and I enjoy visiting with them occasionally.

A new stamp set that is in the new catalog is called Flamingo Lingo. It is a stamp set with a 'cause'. A portion of the proceeds from each set sold is given to the Ronald McDonald House. I love this year's set.
I also used the shell from the "By the Tide" stamp set which is a favorite of mine. It has been in the catalog for a couple of years now.

I sponged the background with Tempting Turquoise, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sands Classic Stampin' inks. The Shell is stamped in Brown Sugar and sponged with Crisp Cantaloupe.
