Pop of Paradise Card Candy # 5

Here is the final piece of card candy that I created for this set.

Pop of Paradise, Card Candy, Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!

This sentiment in the set was tough for me. I wanted to make a piece of card candy using each stamp. I didn't know what to do with this one. Finally I grabbed the sunburst thinlit, cut it out, stamp the sentiment and then used a square framelit to cut it to size. Then I added the colored circles behind and the stars on top.

And here is the entire set so that you can see it together. Which one would you choose to create a card? The color turned out better on this collection, more true to what they actually look like. Even the one with the gold foil oval around it shows up well.

Pop of Paradise Card Candy # 4

The fourth one is another one that I created with the flamingo.

This card candy is a classic cameo style and would be easy to use on any card just as it is, or added to other background elements.

I used the new layering ovals and the botanical builder framelits. I also added Wink of Stella to the flamingo for an added pop.

Pop of Paradise Card Candy # 3

And here's another piece of card candy (DIY embellishment) that I created with the Pop of Paradise stamp set.

This piece of card candy photographed a bit better than the previous one. I embossed this with White embossing powder to which I added Dazzling Diamond glitter. I love that sparkly look. I also used a chalk marker to outline the banner and add the details.

Pop of Paradise Card Candy # 2

Here's the second piece of card candy (DIY embellishments) that I created with the Pop of Paradise stamp set.  This little pineapple is a challenge for me. I don't really know what to do with it on a card. I thought it worked out okay with this piece though and maybe now that I have created the embellishment I will be able to design a card to use it on.

The largest scalloped oval is gold foil paper. It is so hard to photograph the shiny items on cards! I think it looks much better when you actually see it, than when you look at the photo.

The second oval layer is Delightful Dijon. The top oval is Crushed Curry. The pineapple is stamped in Crushed Curry and Garden Green and the banner is stamped in Daffodil Delight.

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Pop of Paradise Card Candy- #1

Have you seen the sets of Card Candy made by various Stampin' Up! stamp sets that are posted on Pinterest? Well, I am going to create a set of Card Candy using the Pop of Paradise stamp set. This is the first one that I have created.

What do you do with Card Candy? You create cards! I'm not real sure of the history of Card Candy but I think it may have had something to do with either trading sets with other stampers, or just that Stampin' Up! demonstrators created sets to give away at their classes and workshops as little bonuses. That is what I have used them for, little bonuses for my customers...card starters.

Snow Place Tags

It has been a long time since I have posted any projects.

Have you ever been pulled in so many directions and so stressed that you just shut down? That is how it has been for me for at least a month.

I have come into the stamping studio to stamp some samples and create some blogs posts and just end up going on Facebook to see what everyone is talking about. I just couldn't get creative.

I have created a few scrapbook pages which I will be posting soon.

When I was getting ready to create a January themed page with snow people, I pulled out the Snow Place stamp set and found a bunch of card candy that I had created to give away at the classes that I usually have in October or November, but didn't this year due to some family happenings.

So, I decided to post the photo of them so that you could see the long overdue project and give you a chance to get a set of them. As I said, I usually give them as little extras to my customers, but I have 10 sets and I will give them to the first 10 people who leave comments on my blog.
These can be used as tags or as embellishments on cards.

If you use them on Christmas cards you can get a head start on your cards for next year!

This is one set that was carried over in the new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog that went live January 5th. It is toward the back of the catalog and is a fun bundle to have.

Blossom Punch Embellishments

Stamp With Trude
I've been playing with the Stampin' Up! Blossom punch again. This time I am making a bunch of blossoms that can be used in scrapbooks or on cards. These are quite quick to make.

Spring isn't too far away...I am pulling out my spring colors and making pretty spring projects. Are you ready for spring yet? Check out the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. It will inspire you!
