Friday Friend Share- Snowmen

This Friday Friend Share card is from Cathy. It is interesting in that she used a mylar sheet for the front and embossed it with a snowflake pattern. Then she applied a snowman that was stamped on white paper and cut out.
The inside of the card is also stamped with the sentiment and snowmen. I've included photos of the outside layer, the inside of the card and the completed folded card.
Nice work Cathy. It's a unique one.

Friday Friend Share

Here's a beautiful card by my friend Jeannie.
It is a simple-to-create Christmas card.
I thought since it is July, I would start posting occasional Christmas cards that my friends have sent. I am already getting Christmas theme Tuesday Tutorials ready to post and creating Christmas cards for my class attendees so they have ideas for their Christmas cards.

This cabin scene is so peaceful. It goes beautifully with the sentiment.

Tuesday Tutorial # 72

Remember this Embellished Ornament set that came out last fall and was carried over to this year's Annual Catalog?

I used current Designer Series paper and the Real Red Glitter Stampin' emboss powder. I think it makes a nice updated version. It's also fun because it is a window card. Get the tutorial below!

Friday Friend Share

My friend, Betty, made this red bird Christmas card for me. I think the branches are from a Stampin' Up! set that is now retired (not positive about that).

I sure wish that we had cardinals on the west coast. I have seen them in Tennessee and Nebraska! They are beautiful, my favorite color!

Friday Friend Share

My Friday Friend Share this week is from my friend, Jeannie.

She used a Stampin' Up! embossing folder, that is now retired, for the frame. Then used 5 different embossed squares and one square tied with ribbon to create a card that resembles a quilt. Although, the ribbon tied square makes me think of a gift. It would make a nice birthday card, or with switched out colors, a Christmas card.

Tuesday Tutorial # 56

Here's a card to get you started on your Christmas cards. It is a set that is a carry-over from last year and is in the annual catalog. I know you are ready to get your Christmas cards made, but it is still three weeks until the new Holiday catalog goes live. I imagine that  you have seen some sneak peeks of products that are in the new catalog. They are all over Pinterest already. I just received my first shipment yesterday evening and I am getting ready to play with some new products and post them too.

Snow Place Tags

It has been a long time since I have posted any projects.

Have you ever been pulled in so many directions and so stressed that you just shut down? That is how it has been for me for at least a month.

I have come into the stamping studio to stamp some samples and create some blogs posts and just end up going on Facebook to see what everyone is talking about. I just couldn't get creative.

I have created a few scrapbook pages which I will be posting soon.

When I was getting ready to create a January themed page with snow people, I pulled out the Snow Place stamp set and found a bunch of card candy that I had created to give away at the classes that I usually have in October or November, but didn't this year due to some family happenings.

So, I decided to post the photo of them so that you could see the long overdue project and give you a chance to get a set of them. As I said, I usually give them as little extras to my customers, but I have 10 sets and I will give them to the first 10 people who leave comments on my blog.
These can be used as tags or as embellishments on cards.

If you use them on Christmas cards you can get a head start on your cards for next year!

This is one set that was carried over in the new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog that went live January 5th. It is toward the back of the catalog and is a fun bundle to have.

Scrapbook Sunday # 25- Flurry of Wishes Page

Do you like to stamp snowflakes? I do. Maybe it is because we don't get a lot of snow where I live.
Today I created a scrapbook page with  the Flurry of Wishes stamp set. I would have used Soft Sky card stock but I was all out, so I grabbed some retired Bashful Blue card stock. I think it would have looked just as good with the current Soft Sky card stock.

Flurry of Wishes, Stampin' Up!, Stamp with Trude, scrapbook page, winter, Christmas, snowflakes, Scrapbook Sunday

I stamped all of the snowflakes in Soft Sky first. Then I used White craft ink to stamp the snowflakes. I embossed the white snowflakes with Whisper White embossing powder to which I had added Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.
The tiny groups of snowflakes are stamped with the snowflake stamp that is in the A Little Something stamp set.
I softened the edges of the page by sponging with craft white ink.

Ho Ho Ho Christmas Banner

Hello,
Today I want to share with you the Christmas banner that we made in class this month.
Ho Ho Ho Banner, Stampin' Up!, Wondrous Wreath, stampwithtrude.blogspot.com , Trude Thoman, Christmas Banner
Most of the supplies are Stampin' Up!, but there are a couple of other products that I used.

I cut the pennants from Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Top Note die, but if you want to make your banner like this one you will need to spray your paper with glitter spray and then seal it with a fixative to prevent the glitter from coming off.

I used my Cricut and the Don Juan cartridge to cut the H from 3 different colors of paper from the Trim The Tree paper stack. I also cut shadows for the H from Brushed Gold card stock.

I also cut the two gold circles from the Brushed Gold card stock. The snowman is made from Whisper White card stock.

The wreath is stamped using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and die cut with the matching framelits. I added a Cherry Cobbler seam binding bow. Add rhinestones to the middles of the flowers to make them sparkle. Color the rhinestones with Blendabilities.

The scarf on the snowman is made with Cherry Cobbler seam binding that is frayed on both ends. His hat is made with the large oval punch. The green and small black layers were created by repunching the ovals to make them slightly smaller.

The ornament has a silver foil paper band (doesn't look silver in the photo though) and the cap was created with the silver foil paper that has been put through the crimper (retired Stampin' Up!). I used a craft store swirl of rhinestones to bling it up.

I strung the pennants on gold Baker's Twine and then tied on pieces of 1/8" gold ribbon.

The letters and circles are all cut at 3 1/2".

Thanks for stopping by today,
Trude

Oh Holy Night Christmas Card

This is a card that I created for Stamp-A-Stack next Sunday. I used the Stampin' Up! set, Oh Holy Night, from the Holiday catalog.

This is a hybrid project. I liked this paper but it is only available through My Digital Studio. I bought the digital download and printed the paper that I needed. Love it! It is a thrifty way to get Stampin' Up! paper because the download it a great price. Usually Stampin' Up! paper comes in assorted packs and sometimes there's left overs. Not with My digital studio downloads. They will include the entire assortment, but you just print the pieces you need!

I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the layout of this card.

Have a blessed day,

Trude

I used the new Stampin' Up! stamp set, Very Merry Tags and the matching punches. Stampin' Up! is making it very easy for us to get all our gift tags made. They are even selling the tag bases so all you have to do is create and embellish!
