Thankful Thoughts Scrapbook Page

Hey, it's Sunday! I decided to make a scrapbook page for Scrapbook Sunday ☺. It's been quite awhile since I created a Scrapbook page for Scrapbook Sunday.

I am trying something new. I decided to grab a stamp set that I hadn't had a chance to use and create a scrapbook page, a 3D item and a card.

Today I am sharing the scrapbook page. It would be great to give someone as a special thank you for a gift. Snap a photo of yourself with the item, create the page and send it to the gifter!

Scrapbook Sunday # 33

Do you sometimes get stuck when it comes to creating masculine pages? I do. Here's one that can be used for any occasion, including father's day and birthday.

You may recognize the layout. It is a flipped version of last week's layout. Sometimes it helps people to see a familiar layout with different stamps, papers and embellishments. Its also good to know that you don't have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to designing pages...just use one that you have already created and switch out the elements.

I used the Neutrals Designer series paper stack for the background paper and the central paper block the other paper elements are all Mint Macaron card stock pieces.

The framelits I used for this project are:
Project Life Paper Clips Thinlits
Tags and Labels Framelits
Mini Treat bag Thinlits

The stamp set is "Guy Greetings"

Scrapbook Sunday # 32

Here's a Valentine's Day page, or it can be use for a wedding or other loving occasion.

I used "Everyday Chic" Designer Series paper for the background and center swatch on this 12" x 12" page layout.

The large heart is punched from red foil paper with the Sweetheart punch. the little bumps along the top of the center block is also punched from red foil paper with the Sweetheart punch.

The small heart punched banner uses the foil paper and the Hearts Border punch. I used one of the small punched hearts to accent the word Happy, which I die cut using the Hello You thinlits die set.

The striped paper along the bottom of the center block is the "Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series paper and I used the Direct-to-paper method with the Real Red ink pad. (use a tissue to wipe off the excess ink)

You can either machine stitch the red lines across the upper and lower sections, or do as I did and use a marker to faux stitch it.

Scrapbook Sunday # 31

This photo makes me smile whenever I see it. I think of a bright-eyed frog. So this Stampin' Up! stamp set was perfect to use on this page. It is the You're Sublime stamp set.

Scrapbook Sunday # 30

This is a simple page but the photo is mounted in a different way than I usually mount photos. Usually for a page such as this I would adhere the photo to the mat and then adhere the mat to the page. For this page I chose to cut the area out of the Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper and then adhere the card stock mat behind the opening before mounting the photo onto the card stock mat.

It gives a slight shadow box effect to the photo mat and the added bonus is that I have a piece of Designer Series paper that I can use for a greeting card or other project!

Perhaps I will use the extra piece of DSP to create a card using the Sale-A-Bration stamp set "Sky is the Limit"
This scrapbook page is 8 1/4" x 8 1/4"

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Scrapbook Sunday # 28

This week's page is the companion page to last week's. I repeated the button theme and added lace and a bow.

This is a 12" x 12" page and the photos are matted together on a piece of vellum. The vellum frames the photos and makes them the focal point. The simple rows of buttons and lace don't overpower the focal point.

You can find scrapbooking supplies at my 24/7 Stampin' Up! store.

Scrapbook Sunday # 27

It's difficult, when I have to take a photo of a page that is in a protector. This page has embellishments on the outside of the protector so it wouldn't look the same if I took it out. I like to add embellishments, in this case buttons and a bow, to the outside of protectors because it adds texture and depth and interest to the page, plus if I want to remove the items it is easier to remove them from the plastic.

I used two small cards from project life to add some color and interest. I also used some small heart stickers that I made by punching paper and adding Crystal Effects.

The background paper is from the Subtle Designer Series paper stack and the mat for the birth announcement and photo is a piece of printed vellum that I had from sources other than Stampin' Up!

The "It's a girl" stamp is from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set.

Scrapbook Sunday # 26

Have you noticed this shiny foil Designer Series Paper in the Holiday catalog? Only a few weeks left to grab some. It makes pages that shine...it is not easy to get a really good photo of this page, but I hope you can get the idea. The upper left corner shows the true color of the trees.

I also used the red foil paper that is in the holiday catalog. I just ordered more so that I can use it for Valentine's Day cards. I don't think it is in the Spring catalog, so I suggest you stock up on that now too, while you can still get it.

The stamp set that I used is called Festival of Trees. It is in the annual catalog and will be available through May 31, 2016.

Scrapbook Sunday # 25- Flurry of Wishes Page

Do you like to stamp snowflakes? I do. Maybe it is because we don't get a lot of snow where I live.
Today I created a scrapbook page with  the Flurry of Wishes stamp set. I would have used Soft Sky card stock but I was all out, so I grabbed some retired Bashful Blue card stock. I think it would have looked just as good with the current Soft Sky card stock.

Flurry of Wishes, Stampin' Up!, Stamp with Trude, scrapbook page, winter, Christmas, snowflakes, Scrapbook Sunday

I stamped all of the snowflakes in Soft Sky first. Then I used White craft ink to stamp the snowflakes. I embossed the white snowflakes with Whisper White embossing powder to which I had added Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.
The tiny groups of snowflakes are stamped with the snowflake stamp that is in the A Little Something stamp set.
I softened the edges of the page by sponging with craft white ink.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break.

Scrapbook Sunday Designer Series Paper Patchwork Page

I bet you already know that Stampin' Up! makes some pretty Designer Series Papers that are 12" x 12" and perfect for scrapbook pages.

Sometimes I forget about using them to create pages. Today I wanted to use some fall Designer Series papers so I pulled out the Into the Woods paper pack but I also noticed that some of the papers from the Sweet Li'l Things paper pack coordinated quite well with it and added some variety.

So Here's my completed page:

I used a Cajun Craze 12" x 12" card stock base and a Tangelo Twist card stock square in the center. There are also 3 squares that I stamped with Vintage Leaves and are left over from paper I created for the Tuesday Tutorial- Fall Panel card.
I see that the dark green paper squares are from the English Garden Designer Series Paper pack. It was from a scrap in my scrap case and I thought it worked well with the other papers. It helps tone down the bright white in the other papers from the Into the Woods paper pack.

Scrapbook Sunday Project Life pages

I wanted to do a quick and simple page layout with the photos I took when we went with our friends to check out North Bonneville Dam. I just bought the Bundle that is in the current annual catalog called, Moments Like These. So I looked through the box and chose 3 cards to use in the card pockets along with my photos.

One photo had a portrait orientation and I only had a landscape oriented pocket, so I trimmed it to 4" x 4", it didn't remove anything important, and put one of the project life cards behind it as a mat.

Then I chose the two small cards, and they coordinate and work very well with the subject of these photos, and used a labeler to create the title on one. I will do the journaling about the 'adventure' on the other card. It is quick and simple, and I can add some extras that came along with the embellishment bundle if I want, but I kind of like this quick and simple layout as it is.

I did have to have two pocket pages to hold all the photos.

Scrapbook Sunday # 19

I am still struggling with using the Project Life embellishment packs. I wanted to make this a quick page, but I wanted to see how I could incorporate some of the embellishments.
I decided to use some of the little hearts around the cute picture of my grandson. Then I used a 'Perfect Picture' banner on the group photo.
I put some flowers up by the box where I am going to write the title. Then I used an arrow to point at the cute picture of my grandson.
I then found the little bag of camera paper clips that came in the embellishment package so I added that to a photo. In another little bag there was a sheet of yellow bubbles, so I used 3 of those on another photo.
I am happy with this page because I want the photos to be the main focus, not the embellishments, but I didn't think the addition of a few small elements really distracted from anything.
Scrapbook Sunday, Stamp with Trude, Project Life, Lets Get Away, scrapbook page
I also added the banner to the grandson's photo. I thought maybe I could use it for a clever word or phrase. The only embellishment that is actually on a photo is the paper clip. All the other stickers are stuck to the pocket page.
What do you think?

Thanks for looking! Have a blessed day,
Trude

Scrapbook Sunday # 18

Here's a quick 2-page layout that I created for my grandson's third birthday photos. I didn't put any journaling cards on these pages because it is going to be a part of a continuing spread and other pages with have the pertinent information.

I used a fancy 12" x 12" sheet from a retired Designer Series paper pack called 'Birthday Bash'. The polka dot paper is currently in the catalog. It is one of the designs in the Brights Designer Series paper stack.

The Tangerine Tango is from the current catalog. It is in the paper set 'Sweet Li'l Things'.

The cupcake liners were punched from 'Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper and then I sponged them with Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy and Cucumber Crush inks.

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Scrapbook Sunday Turtle Page

When I chose these photos to create a scrapbook page, I was thinking of polka dots and circles. But when I went through my Stampin' Up! 12" x 12" papers I found this paper from the Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series paper pack and decided it would be perfect.

I didn't use any stamps on this page. I drew the turtles free-hand to be similar to the ones on the page. Then I used the Chevron punch to punch out some chevrons, repeating a design in the paper, from Watermelon Wonder card stock and Soft Sky card stock, two of the colors that are in the paper.

Scrapbook Sunday # 16 Pretty Pumpkin Page

Today I am revisiting last week's page. I repeated the design with the Vintage Leaves stamp set on the edge of the page, then I used the Everything Eleanor swirl over the rest of the page. I created a pumpkin with the Oval Collection framelits and stamped it with Flowering Flourishes.

I like how it turned out.

Scrapbook Sunday # 15

I am still getting caught up from vacation and being sick.
Here is Scrapbook Sunday page #15:
I used Vintage Leaves to stamp along the sides and bottom. You could do this same thing on a cream background and vary the color of the leaves. I wanted it to be muted and plain so that it wouldn't distract from the photo. I used a mask to mask the leaves when I stamped over them.
