Have you written about this? Did you have a family nickname when you were growing up? How did you get it? Write the prompt in your journal and Journal It!
Journal It! 206 Your next journal prompt is... If you could choose any car to drive, what car would it be? Why? Write the prompt in your journal and Journal It! There aren't very many vehicles in the catalog this year, but there is this fun motorcycle stamp set and this antique car from Guy Greetings.
Do you sometimes get stuck when it comes to creating masculine pages? I do. Here's one that can be used for any occasion, including father's day and birthday. You may recognize the layout. It is a flipped version of last week's layout. Sometimes it helps people to see a familiar layout with different stamps, papers and embellishments. Its also good to know that you don't have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to designing pages...just use one that you have already created and switch out the elements. I used the Neutrals Designer series paper stack for the background paper and the central paper block the other paper elements are all Mint Macaron card stock pieces. The framelits I used for this project are: Project Life Paper Clips Thinlits Tags and Labels Framelits Mini Treat bag Thinlits The stamp set is "Guy Greetings"
Journal It! 161 Here's a prompt to journal... Tell what you know about your grandparents' occupations. Write the prompt in your journal and Journal It!
Journal It 142 Here's another journal prompt for you! What was your father's occupation and how did you feel about it? Write the prompt in your journal and Journal It!
This is the third greeting card that I made with the Guy Greeting card stamp set. This set has many stamps and I'm sure that it won't be the last card that I make with it.
I haven't created cards that feature the wrenches or the hats. There are so many good sentiments with this set. I'm glad that is will still be available when the new catalog comes out. Sometimes there aren't enough masculine greetings. I used the Maritime Designer Series paper pack for the papers on this card. I like these papers and I will miss them. There isn't anything like them in the new catalog, but you can still get these papers until they're sold out.
This is another Mojo Monday sketch. Have you tried Mojo Monday sketches yet?
Here's my second card that I created with the Guy Greetings stamp set.
I again used paper from the Adventure Bound paper stack that is in the Stampin' Up! Spring Occasions catalog. There's still time to get it...catalog goes through the 2nd of June. I used brushed silver paper for the star. Naturals Ivory paper to stamp the greeting and man on (Naturals are being retired so stock up now! I love that paper). I used Smoky Slate to stamp the background images and Basic Gray ink for the greeting and man.
The layout is a Mojo Monday sketch. I love having the layout already created and just plugging in the stamps and paper. They have a great archive that goes back to 2010, so lots of sketches to choose from. Have a blessed day, Trude
I think this is the most recent acquisition of mine. It is the Guy Greetings stamp set that is in the Stampin' Up! spring Occasions catalog and is also going to be in the new 2015/2016 annual catalog when it comes out.
I sat down and created 3 cards from the stamp set. I used Mojo Monday sketches for layout ideas.
The inside says, "Happy Birthday to a classic" The papers are from the Spring Occasions catalog, it is the Adventure Bound paper stack. Guy Greetings stamp set
I will share another one with you next time. Thanks for stopping by!
