This is kind of a Throwback Thursday card, but I didn't previously offer the tutorial for it. Today is the last day to snap up the two stamp sets and two punches that I used on this card. The oval punches make such cute pumpkins!
I decided that I should actually change the name of today's post because it really isn't about Basic stamping. You don't need special techniques when you are learning the basics. So this is really beyond the basics. Today's Technique is shadow stamping.
First I stamped Flowering Flourishes in Chocolate Chip ink onto Soft Sky card stock.
Then I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig and VersaMark watermark ink to stamp a 'shadow' next to the first stamped image.
Here's the card I created. Yes, the effect is very subtle on this card stock. On some other card stocks it shows up more. Something interesting to experiment with anyway. Hope you enjoyed this technique. I'd love to hear what you did with it and how it worked for you! Have a blessed day, Trude
Today I am revisiting last week's page. I repeated the design with the Vintage Leaves stamp set on the edge of the page, then I used the Everything Eleanor swirl over the rest of the page. I created a pumpkin with the Oval Collection framelits and stamped it with Flowering Flourishes.
I like how it turned out. I used Crumb Cake ink on the pumpkin, Soft Suede ink on the leaves and VersaMark ink on the swirls.
I have been waiting until November to post this and then I almost forgot! Here's my Banner for Thanksgiving. Susie and I enjoyed making these banners even though we made them on a very warm day that was not at all Fall-like. It is definitely Fall-like today and tomorrow it is forecast to be more like Winter weather. Some forecasts say snow and others say freezing rain. Between the two, I am definitely hoping for the snow.

I don't know why, but every year it surprises me how fast the days grow shorter. I love the summer and the long days of light so the short daylight is not welcome here!
The colors of Fall are beautiful and I do look forward to the Fall holidays. All the Christmas lights help brighten the darkness and take some of the gloom away.
Today I created this Pretty Pumpkin card.
I was looking at the Thanksgiving banner that I created and I thought, "that might look cute as a greeting card too", so here it is.

Susie came over to play a couple of days ago. She has been sick so it had been a couple of weeks since we got together to create. She wanted to create some simple cards with Flowering Flourishes. It has been awhile since I have used that set, but it is a good one. I looked back through my tutorials and I only found a couple of cards that I have created with this set. I thought that I had used it more often than that. I did use it on two scrapbook pages this year; the one for February and the one for March.
We needed a clean and simple card for workshop guests who haven't had the experience of heat embossing. I think that these fit the bill.
Here's another card that we made with this set. It isn't difficult, but it does take more time to cut and add the layers.
Just wanted to say, before I begin today's post, that I enjoy looking at the blog statistics and seeing where some of you are viewing my blog from. At the top of the list are my fellow U.S. crafters, followed by our crafting Canadian neighbors and United Kingdom crafters. Not too surprising I suppose, because Stampin' Up! has such a large presence in these countries. I'm very happy you look at my blog. Thanks.
Today I want to give a shout out to crafters who have visited my blog from Indonesia, Romania and Luxembourg...Hello! thanks for looking.

Here's another version of a Stampin' Up! triple layer card. I used the heart framelits to cut out the layers...except for the sparkly heart in the center. I used a hand punch for that one. These go together very quickly and would be great to give your child's teachers.
