Jeannie sent me this cute card that has fall colored hearts falling from the tree. Isn't it cute?
Thanks for joining me for Friday Friend Share this week and thanks, Jeannie, for the interesting card.

Throwback Thursday- Truly Grateful
I know a few people who make Thanksgiving cards and send them out, but it is too much work to do cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas (IMHO). But this set can be used for fall cards that say thank you to special people in your life. It is always good to be thankful and we need to incorporate it into our everyday lives, not just at Thanksgiving time.
I'm thankful for you...the people all around the world, who take time to look at my blog to see what I have crafted, who occasionally leave a comment of encouragement or commendation and who place orders through my Stampin' Up! store so that I can continue to create cards and post tutorials for you. Thanks!
This set is called, Truly Grateful.
Have a blessed day,
Trude

Friday Friend Share
Okay, I know you must be wondering why I am sharing Betty's Autumn greeting card today. Well, I am getting really sick of all the rain we have had this spring and when I looked at this card I saw a big sun shining. I thought, "That would be really easy to switch out and create a spring themed card."
Use green on the leaves instead of the fall colors and switch the sentiment to say, "Hello Spring!"
Betty used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. This stamp set is on the retiring list and will only be available through May 31, 2017.

Friday Friend Share
Here's a card that my friend, Ruth, sent me. It is perfect for fall or even Halloween.
I don't know what company the owl and sentiment are from. And I'm not sure what she used for the background. I haven't seen designer paper like that, but it could be. The black trees give it a spooky feeling, but the bright splash of colorful leaves on the right lighten the mood and brighten the card.
There's a new owl stamp coming out in Stampin' Up!s Holiday catalog. It is in the hostess set. Host a class or workshop and get it with your host dollars!
Thanks for stopping by,

Tuesday Tutorial # 54 Autumn Thanks Banner card
It's Tuesday again and that means it's time for another tutorial!
I used Crazy About You, a stamp set from Stampin' Up!
I am really enjoying the sunshine, but I got an idea for this card and just had to make it! Autumn will be here soon enough, whether I like it or not!

Wednesday 201- Beyond the Basics- Big Shot
Here's another way to add dimension and interest to your stamped card creations. Use a Big Shot. You can use it to add die cuts, or as in this example actually die cut the card itself. You can also use it to pressure, or cold emboss. You can also see that in this example; I used a woodgrain embossing folder to add texture and interest to the front of the card.
I used the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set.
Here's a good Big Shot demonstration video by Stampin' Up!

Tuesday Tutorial # 20 Fall Panel Card
I finally got another Tuesday Tutorial completed. It has been such a challenge for me to update my blog lately. It just seems like I keep getting things 'thrown' at me.
I got rear-ended last week, so now I am doing doctor visits/ physical therapy twice a week and now on top of it I have a cold that is slowing me down. I guess it is true that when it rains, it pours!
Here's the card I created

Scrapbook Sunday
Here's another fun fall scrapbook page. It would be fun to have a big leaf rake against the tree trunk background. I would've had to hand draw and cut one...don't know if Cricut has one available on a cartridge or not. I used two Stampin' Up! stamp sets; Acorny Thank you and Vintage Leaves.
I used the Fringe scissors to create the grass. I used two layers of grass in two different colors. The darker color is behind (Garden Green and Always Artichoke).
I used Tip Top Taupe for 2 of the acorns...it looks gray in this photo. It is a tad browner in actuality.
I would also use this layout with a portrait layout photo. That would even leave enough room for a journal card. You could also do a two page layout with the second page layout being opposite of this one.
This page has enough room to move the photo down a tad and add a headline and/or you could also add a caption box underneath the photo.

Scrapbook Sunday # 16 Pretty Pumpkin Page
Today I am revisiting last week's page. I repeated the design with the Vintage Leaves stamp set on the edge of the page, then I used the Everything Eleanor swirl over the rest of the page. I created a pumpkin with the Oval Collection framelits and stamped it with Flowering Flourishes.
I like how it turned out.
I used Crumb Cake ink on the pumpkin, Soft Suede ink on the leaves and VersaMark ink on the swirls.

Scrapbook Sunday # 15
I am still getting caught up from vacation and being sick.
Here is Scrapbook Sunday page #15:
I used Vintage Leaves to stamp along the sides and bottom. You could do this same thing on a cream background and vary the color of the leaves. I wanted it to be muted and plain so that it wouldn't distract from the photo. I used a mask to mask the leaves when I stamped over them.
Thanks for not giving up on me during my absence!
Have a blessed day,
Trude

Scrapbook Sunday # 13 Vintage Leaves page
Can you feel it in the air yet? Does it feel like fall?
I thought I would create a page for you to try out using the new Vintage Leaves stamp set and the matching framelits. It's a great way to use up some of your scraps. That's what I did, I grabbed my scrap bin and pulled out any papers that I thought would make good autumn leaves. Then I stamped and die cut them and arranged them on the page. The top rectangle is for the title and the bottom matted rectangle is for the photo.
I used Chocolate Brown 12" x 12" paper as the base, everything else is from my scrap bin. I stamped most of the leaves with Crumb Cake ink. The green leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
I used VersaMark to make a watermark with leaves on the title rectangle. The leaves are positioned a little differently than I had them arranged originally. It is just hard to fish out the bottom ones to glue down without disturbing the top ones. I decided that the next time I do something like this with a bunch of arranged pieces, I will take a photo with my phone and have it open next to me so that I can reposition the pieces like I had them placed before I started gluing.
What tricks do you use? I'd like to hear from you.
Have a blessed day,
Trude

Fall Pumpkin Banner
I have been waiting until November to post this and then I almost forgot! Here's my Banner for Thanksgiving. Susie and I enjoyed making these banners even though we made them on a very warm day that was not at all Fall-like.
It is definitely Fall-like today and tomorrow it is forecast to be more like Winter weather. Some forecasts say snow and others say freezing rain. Between the two, I am definitely hoping for the snow.
Supplies I used
Pumpkin Pie card stock
Crumb Cake card stock
Mossy Meadow card stock
Cajun Craze card stock
Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' ink
Woodgrain embossing folder
Banner Collection Framelits
Oval Collection Framelits
Flowering Flourishes stamp set
Pumpkin Pie cotton ribbon
Blackberry Bliss cotton ribbon
rhinestones basic jewels
Other- Alphabet dies, Jute Twine
See what's new in my Stampin' Up! store.
Thanks for stopping by my studio today!

I don't know why, but every year it surprises me how fast the days grow shorter. I love the summer and the long days of light so the short daylight is not welcome here!
The colors of Fall are beautiful and I do look forward to the Fall holidays. All the Christmas lights help brighten the darkness and take some of the gloom away.
Today I created this Pretty Pumpkin card.
I was looking at the Thanksgiving banner that I created and I thought, "that might look cute as a greeting card too", so here it is.
