Friday Friend Share- Daisy Delight

Have you seen the Daisy Delight stamp set and paper that is in the current Stampin' Up catalog? It is real popular. I have seen so many projects on Pinterest that use that set. My friend, Kim, used the set to create this card that she shared with me.

Happy Stamping!

Friday Friend Share- Floral Greeting

Today's Friday Friend Share comes from my friend Candace.

The card background has stenciled embossing paste for interest and is wrapped with a hand spun piece of yarn. Sweet.

Have a blessed day,

Throwback Thursday- Fifth Avenue Floral

I purchased this stamp set several years ago. I wanted to play with it and do some color blending and other watercolor techniques that I saw on You Tube. The set retired before I had a chance to play with it so it just sat neglected and unused on my shelf.

So I decided that Throwback Thursday would be a good time to do some playing and sharing! I like how this card turned out. I used the new watercolor pencils for the Daffodil Delight areas and then I used an Aqua Painter and Melon Mambo for the Pink areas. After I had the flowers colored, I sprayed them with water to help the colors blend. Then on one of the flowers I added a little more Melon Mambo to some of the petal edges.

I think this is a card that will go to my mom. She loves roses. She used to paint them too.

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Throwback Thursday - Sweet Herbs

I bought this set from my neighbor's garage sale last Friday. Thought I would create a card for Throwback Thursday. It's not like I needed to purchase another Stampin' Up! stamp set, it was just a good deal and a set that I didn't have. It has an herb border stamp too.

Products I used:
Sweet Herbs stamp set
Tuxedo Black Momento ink pad
Stampin' Blendabilities- Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Wisteria Wonder, Light Wild Wasabi, Medium Wild Wasabi
Washi Tape
Cajun Craze cardstock
Whisper White cardstock
Crumb Cake cardstock

Tuesday Tutorial #106 Seas the Day

Last week, when it was over 100* for 3 days in a row, the beach was a very popular place to be. It is still in the 80's there, but that is wonderful weather on the Oregon Coast.
I always enjoy going to the coast and would love to have been there last week. The traffic was very bad; bumper to bumper for most of the way between Beaverton and the beach. That's the main reason that I didn't go.

I just stayed home and created a beachy card instead.

Friday Friend Share

This card, by Jeannie, is a great card for this time of year. It embodies the carefree days of childhood. Sitting in a swing, enjoying the motion and the breeze in the middle of a long summer day.

My friend, Jeannie, makes such beautiful cards. She loves animals and nature and naturally gravitates to those subjects in her card making.

Thank you Jeannie for another spectacular card.

Friday Friend Share

Okay, I know you must be wondering why I am sharing Betty's Autumn greeting card today. Well, I am getting really sick of all the rain we have had this spring and when I looked at this card I saw a big sun shining. I thought, "That would be really easy to switch out and create a spring themed card."

Use green on the leaves instead of the fall colors and switch the sentiment to say, "Hello Spring!"

Betty used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. This stamp set is on the retiring list and will only be available through May 31, 2017.

Love the colors of this card and the die cuts from a Tim Holtz die set.

Jeannie has an old hymnal that she uses for background papers. I think that's a great idea. It wouldn't be an archival paper but most people don't keep cards forever anyway.

Stampin' Up!s Wild About Flower stamp set could be used to create a similar card to this.

Tuesday Tutorial # 90 High Tide

I always like lighthouses, so I was happy to see a new one in the spring Occasions catalog. However, it wasn't one of my first purchases. There were so many other stamp sets that I wanted!

Finally now, I have the stamp set and I am starting to play with it. This is the first card that I have created with it and I also created another card for my monthly demonstrator get-together.

Friday Friend Share

This card from my friend Ruth is so appropriate for the area in which we live. Rain, Rain and lots of it is the norm for the Pacific "Northwet"!

I am guessing, but I believe that these stamps are from Art Impressions. It is a company that is based in Oregon and so it makes sense that they would sell this stamp.

Tuesday Tutorial # 81

Have you seen the Sale-A-Bration brochure yet? This stamp set, "Hey, Chick" is a very popular stamp set. If you are planning on getting it don't wait until the last minute to earn it because the products in the Sale-A-bration brochure are "as supplies last".

Here's my version of a card using the Hexagon Dynamic embossing folder as a stamp for the chicken wire background.

Tuesday Tutorial # 82

This is a fun stamp set that I have had for many months and haven't had time to play with. It is more of a March card that I have created this time. I guess I just can't wait for spring and kite flying weather! ☺

Friday Friend Share

Yea, another Friday!

This card is from my friend Kim. I like the way she two-step stamped the flowers really close to fill in the background. I think this might be a retired Stampin' Up! set. Thanks for sharing, Kim.

Have a wonderful weekend!
