Tuesday Tutorial # 97 Label Me Pretty

It is time to start sharing some projects that use items from the new catalog. Yay!

This stamp is from the new Label Me Pretty stamp set and it has a matching punch. It can be purchased in a bundle at a 10% savings.(beginning June 1st, 2017)

The cardstocks are new In-Colors; Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. The Lemon Lime Twist is actually a little greener than the photo shows, it is too yellow here.

Tuesday Tutorial # 96 One Big Meaning

One Big Meaning Thank You card

Have you noticed that I haven't been sharing all the new stuff that I have been getting during the demonstrator pre-order? Well, that's because I haven't had time to create any new projects. I had to schedule all my blog posts before my son and his girlfriend came for a visit. And then I was too busy doing sightseeing trips and other fun stuff.

I promise that now that I am back to the routine (but still trying to catch up on everything) I will start to share some fun new products.

Thankful Thoughts Greeting Card

This is the second project that I created with the Thankful Thoughts stamp set.

I've been watching some Jennifer McGuire You Tube videos about glitter application. I just had to do something with it.

Stampin' Up! only has Dazzling Details, Gold and Silver glitter. Since they didn't have the colors that I wanted to use, I used Art Institute glitter. I've had it for years, so I don't know if they still have the same colors.

I sponged Elegant Eggplant around the edges of the card and it was too dark, so I sponged craft white over the top to tone it down.

Thankful Thoughts, Thank you card, Stampin' Up!, Stamp with Trude,

Here are the products that I used:

Sweet Sugarplum cardstock
Whisper White cardstock
Very Vanilla cardstock
Gold Glimmer paper
Stitched Shapes framelits
Butterflies Thinlits
Fluttering Embossing folder
Basic Black Archival ink pad
Thankful Thoughts stamp set
Art Institute glitter- Royal Wink #24, Dubonnet #6, and the green label is missing so I can't tell you the color and number on that one.
Glue Dots
Dimensionals
Big Shot
Suddenly Stickers adhesive

Thanks for coming by today!

Tuesday Tutorial # 87

Here's another stamp set from Sale-A-Bration. It is called "So Very Much". It has this big Thank you and then four coordinating sentiments that go along with it.

I decided to make a simple Thank You card since this is such a large sentiment. It would make the perfect thank you card for a wedding or wedding shower.

I created two versions and they are both included in the tutorial.

Paper Pumpkin Amazing Mom Card

Here's April's Paper Pumpkin remake #5

April Paper Pumpkin remake #5, Trude Thoman, stampwithtrude.blogspot.com, #paperpumpin #stampinup , Painted Petals, Mother's Day Thank you card

I I was out of town for a week and didn't get this posted. It could be a Mother's Day card or it could be used to show your appreciation for your mother at any time of the year.

This is my 5th remake of Stampin' Up!s April Paper Pumpkin kit.

I used the original tag pocket as a template and cut this one out of Designer Series Paper. I did use the original card from the kit and stamped it with the Painted Petals stamp set. I added matching ribbon and twine. This is a quick and easy card that takes about 10 minutes once you have all the supplies gathered up.

Watch my blog for some blog candy tomorrow!

Blooming With Kindness Thank You Card

Today we are taking another break from April's Paper Pumpkin to check out this Thank You card that I created with retiring In-Color products.

Thank You card, stampwithtrude.blogspot.com , Stampin' Up!, Trude Thoman, Blooming with Kindness, 2013-2015 In Colors, Gorgeous Grunge
I used the In-Color paper stack, Whisper White and Coastal Cabana card stock. The inks are Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, and Rose Red. I used the 'rock and roll' technique on the flower to add a little of the Rose Red around the edges. There's also Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's twine and Washi tape on this card.

To do the tearing technique on this card, hold both top edges even when tearing and then move the Whisper White piece down into place and adhere. I also used the masking technique to keep the Gorgeous Grunge splatter from being all over the top of the bloom.

This card goes together fairly quickly and could be used for a card that you need to make multiple of by just changing out the sentiment to whatever sentiment you may need.

Paper Pumpkin Remake # 2

Here's the second remake for the April Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin' Up!

stampwithtrude.blogspot.com , Trude Thoman, Stampin' Up!, April Paper Pumpkin kit remake #2, Thank You card, floral

The card is the one that comes in the kit. The stamps I used are also in the April kit. And the bow and Baker's twine come in the original kit.

So, my changes to the kit are:

I used the original pocket tag as a pattern for the pocket tag that I created with the Designer Series Paper. I used Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (2015 Sale-A-Bration). It has the perfect color combinations for the card base. Then I stamped the sentiments with Coastal Cabana (going to miss this ink!). The flowers are Calypso Coral.

It made a cute little Thank You card for one of my customers.

The kit this month does not come with envelopes. The pocket tags are meant to be tied on a package or around a bouquet or a bottle of Martinelli's.

Have a blessed day,

Thanks A Bunch Card

This card is made with items that are on the retiring products lists. It is a cheery springtime Thank You card.

Trude Thoman, stampwithtrude.blogspot.com , #stampinup, Stampin' Up!, Thank You card, Occasions 4 You

I used the Occasions 4 You stamp set, which I have totally under-utilized this year. It is a nice bold set, which can overwhelm some card layouts. This card layout is a Mojo Monday sketch from 2010. I like to use Mojo Monday sketches, but they aren't always the current sketch. Mojo Monday keeps an archive of their sketches and it's easy to browse them, or even print them off. I stamped the sentiment with Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' ink.

Your may wonder what designer paper I used on the card base. Did you notice that the Spring Occasions catalog had an extra cover this year? It was advertising the Sale-A-Bration. I took the cover off and used the inside as Designer Series Paper for this card base (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!).

I used the 2013-2015 Designer Series Paper stack for the next layer. The scalloped paper is Calypso Coral card stock. The next layer is Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper. On top of that is Crisp Cantaloupe card stock then the top layer is Whisper White.

I used the large scallop edgelit for the bottom of the Calypso Coral layer. I used the Scallop border punch on the left edge of the Crisp Cantaloupe and then used the 1/8" circle punch to punch the little holes along the scallops. I used Boho Blossom for the flowers and Pistachio Pudding Thick twine for the ribbon and bow. Finish it off with a little glitz of rhinestones.

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Stampin' Up! Tea Party Thank You Card

Stampin' Up! Tea Party Thank You card by Trude Thoman http://stampwithtrude.blogspot.com
I'm trying out some of the new paper from the New 2014 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog. This paper is called Lullaby. It does have nice colors for baby cards, but I like to see what else I can create with it besides the obvious.

Stampin' Up! Gently Falling Card

http://stampwithtrude.blogspot.com Stampin' Up! greeting card by Trude Thoman Gently Falling stamp set
This is one of my Thanksgiving cards. I used "My Digital Studio" program to print the 'Howls tooth' background paper and also the "Giving Thanks" tag that was die cut with the Stampin' Up! "Apothecary Label" framelits.

I made a gatefold card and cut a window with the "Apothecary Label" framelit die.

The ink is Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede Classic Stampin' ink pads by Stampin' Up!

You can see all the new products at my Stampin' Up! website.

Shaped Border Card

click on photo to view details
I made this for Wednesday night class to show the ladies how to use a small stamp repeatedly for a border. Then I cut the bottom following the edge of the stamps and put a colored background inside the card to add extra interest to the edge. It is easy to do and the results can be quite good. Try it.
I really like the sentiment, but I can't remember what company it came from (most of my stamps are not mounted on wood, so the company name isn't on them).

Simple Thank You Card

click to see details (smudge, LOL)
This does not have to be a Christmas Thank you card. I just happened to make it after Christmas for the purpose of sending a Thank you for Christmas presents. It could be made with floral paper or birthday paper or wedding paper. It is quick and easy, which is a plus for any type of occasion that requires more than one of two thank yous to be sent. Just choose three coordinating papers and a coordinating ribbon. I used 2 prints and one solid, plus the neutral color to stamp the sentiment on. This was a class card sample.
