Make a Cake Birthday Card

Stamp with Trude, Make a Cake, Stampin' Up!, birthday card
Here's a nice bold Stampin' Up! birthday card. For this card I used the Make a Cake stamp set, the En Francais single background stamp and the Polka Stampin' Around wheel.

En Francais stamp

Polka Stampin' Around builder wheel
I used this builder wheel to created the polka dot strip on the left side of the card.
Chalk Talk Framelits
I love this set of framelits. They make such nice tags and the set is even more versatile with the different hole frametlits that you can place wherever you like in the tags.
Large Scallop Edgelits

I cut a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock to tuck under the edge of the Polka dot strip. I used this Large Scallop Edgelit.

The Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding gives the card the finishing pop of color. I love this seam binding too. It is so easy to work with.

This card is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" size.

I used the Make a Cake and the One in a Million stamp sets by Stampin' Up! to make this double pop-up card.
This pop-up card looks complicated but it really isn't. I had fun making it. When you push the top card down into the pocket the message card above the cake also disappears.
I also used Soft Suede ink, Perfect Peach ink, and the polka dot embossing folder.
