Mixed Bunch Card Sketch Challenge

It has been awhile since I have had any time or been close enough to my supplies to join some challenges. Now that I am home from the 9 state tour, I think it is time to dive back in.

Here's the card I created for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I used the color scheme challenge from the Sunday Stamps blog.

all occasion greeting card
I do not know why the Strawberry Slush turns out so red. I tried to adjust for it, without success.

For this card I used:
Strawberry Slush card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper, Strawberry Slush ink, sponge dauber, Strawberry Slush thick baker's twine, Dazzling Details and a Brights Designer button.

If you are looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'm here for you!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I would love to hear from you!
Have a Lovely Day,

Mojo Monday 345 Sea Street Birthday Card

I went a little bit crazy today. I wanted to do some Sea Street cards that weren't the standard colors, you know, the ones that are in the Designer Series Paper that goes with this stamp set. I really do love the colors of the DSP, but after awhile you want to see something different.

So, I started by making one card, then I wondered what it would look like in another color combination, and pretty soon I had made four cards the same, only with different colors.

First I used the color combination from Hand Stamped Sentiments. I think it turned out pretty cute. It would be great for my grand niece.

Then I tried the color combination from Pals Paper Arts. This is a much stronger combination and I think it would work well for one of my grand nephews.

Then I thought I would try the set with the color challenge from Sunday Stamps. It is a high contrast combination but I think I could find some young ladies that would love these. I say 'these' because I tried a couple of different combinations of the colors. Which one do you like?

I guess that is all for today. Thanks for checking it out!

Springtime Hello Greeting Card

Well, it has been a week since I have been able to post. I had hoped to post a bunch of sketch challenges last week, but due to family medical issues I wasn't able to.

Today I am using the Springtime Hello stamp set that is in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. When I saw the sentiment, "Hello Spring", and the little bee stamp, I just had to get it. The flower sprig is from the set too.

Springtime Hello, Greeting Card, Mojo Monday, Sunday Stamps, Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!, floral

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge
and the Color Challenge from Sunday Stamps.

Technique Tip:
I stamped the flower sprig on vellum so that I could stamp front and back. That helps keep the flower from looking so 'cookie cutter'.
