Friday Friend Share

Are you ready for some spring? Here in Oregon, almost everyone, at least everyone that I know, is ready for the ice to go and the flowers to grow.

Here's a card from my friend Betty. She used the Festive Flower Builder punch (Stampin' Up!) to create the tulips. Isn't it clever? It is an easel card that she sent for Easter.

Thank you Betty for the pot of spring!

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Hello Spring! Banner

It is officially spring! It may not look like it where you are, and there was frost on all the roof tops here, this morning, but it is spring! I noticed many blooming trees on my way to and from the gym this morning. Love it!
I made this spring banner with the new pennants framelits that are in the Stampin' Up! spring occasions catalog.

spring banner, Backyard Basics, Petal Parade, Secret Garden, Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!
I pulled out quite a few stamp sets that have flowers in them. The main stamp set I used was Backyard Basics. I also used Flower Shop, Secret Garden and a flower from the free Sale-A-Bration set, Petal Parade.

I used framelits for almost everything. I didn't use them for the large flowers on the banner ends, but I could have. Secret Garden does have the matching framelits. I used the pennant framelits for the banner bases. Then I used Apothecary Accent framelits for the letter bases. The letters themselves are a Spellbinder die set. Then I used the Backyard Basics framelit set for most of the pennant accents. It sure made the banner go together faster to use the Big Shot to do all that cutting!

Springtime Hello Greeting Card

Well, it has been a week since I have been able to post. I had hoped to post a bunch of sketch challenges last week, but due to family medical issues I wasn't able to.

Today I am using the Springtime Hello stamp set that is in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. When I saw the sentiment, "Hello Spring", and the little bee stamp, I just had to get it. The flower sprig is from the set too.

Springtime Hello, Greeting Card, Mojo Monday, Sunday Stamps, Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!, floral

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge
and the Color Challenge from Sunday Stamps.

Technique Tip:
I stamped the flower sprig on vellum so that I could stamp front and back. That helps keep the flower from looking so 'cookie cutter'.

Wisteria Wonder card stock #122922
Baked Brown Sugar card stock #131296
Whisper White card stock #100730

Easter Greeting Card

Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!, Easter, Bunny, spring
This is the card I made for this week's Pals Paper Arts layout challenge (PPA155).
I used Lucky Limeade card stock, Calypso Coral Designer Series paper stack, and Basic White card stock.
I like this realistic bunny stamp from Stampin' Up! It is a single stamp that is available until the end of March-2013, just a few more days.

Stampin' Up! Spring Daffodil Basket

stamp with trude
I used Stampin' Up! Floral Frames Framelits and Fancy Favor Bigz die to create this spring basket.

At the workshop, I filled it with jelly beans.

I used Certainly Celery card stock for the Basket Base. The Yellow is Daffodil Delight polka dot from the Brights Designer Series Paper stack. Then there is Whisper White card stock and Calypso Coral card stock. The center is an In-Color Dahlia.

Yea, it is spring!

Spring Card

Quick and easy spring card. I adhered print paper to the front of a card that I cut an inch off the front ONLY. I adhered a strip of coordinating paper to the bottom of the striped paper and used decorative scissors to trim the edge of the card back. Then I stamped the butterfly and the sentiment.
The spring colors add cheer on a gray blustery northwest spring day!

Rain or Shine Card

A spring themed card. It rains a lots here, so this is an appropriate card. The greeting inside, "Rain or Shine, You're a Friend of Mine." I believe it is a retired D.O.T.S. set.

Spring Fancy

Today's card is another spring themed card. It is also a quick 10 minute or less card. I used a Hero Arts background stamp with pink chalk ink and then stamped the sentiment and the butterfly body in black ink. Then I stamped a wing on the card front with Stampin Up classic ink and also on a piece of printed paper. I cut the printed paper wing out, glued it at a slight angle over the background wing. Punched out a couple of leaves and adhered leaves, flowers and a button to the left side of the card. Then I put a rhinestone in the middle of the butterfly body. The butterfly is a retired Stampin Up stamp.

Springtime card

A simple 2 stamp card. Brighten someone's day with a spring bouquet of daffodils.
I used a striped background paper. I stamped the daffodil stamp on card stock and colored it with markers, then cut around it. I attached the background paper to the yellow card base, then the cut out daffodils. I stamped the sentiment, and that was it! Sweet and simple.
