Something Lacy Birthday Card

Stampin' Up! has a new background lace stamp. I really haven't had enough time to play with the one that they introduced in the Annual catalog last summer, but here it is, another lace background. I'm not complaining, except about the lack of time to play with them! I think the lace backgrounds are elegant and I like elegant cards.

The stamp is called Something Lacy. Here's the first card that I made with the stamp. I used the emboss resist technique.

This picture makes the Blackberry Bliss card stock almost appear black, it is a deep purple, very beautiful.

I stamped the Something Lacy stamp on Whisper White card stock with White craft ink and White embossing powder. Then I used Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, and Wisteria Wonder to color the piece. I rubbed the color in with Stampin' Sponges.

Blessed Easter Mojo Monday Card

Another week means another Mojo Monday. Yup, I am a day late, but I wanted to get the other post in yesterday, so waited to post this Stampin' Up! card.
This Mojo Monday sketch challenge is a very basic sketch. That means it is very versatile. One thing that is easier to do with a basic sketch is to use busier papers and embellishments because there isn't so much going on in the sketch itself that it is overwhelmed by printed papers. This sketch is one of those sketches that should be in your 'basic go-to file'.

Floral Fancy Card

I made the tag with the embossing/stencil folder by Sizzix (I think that is who makes it). The folder cuts the tag and embosses it with one pass through the Big Shot. Then you open the back door of the folder before you remove the tag from the inside of the folder and apply color to the stencil areas. It turns out really neat. I made another card with a different embossing folder and stenciled it. Loved how it turned out too.

Fun Flower Card

This picture is dark, so click on it to see the full view. You can see the details better that way.

I think the strip at the bottom might be a Martha Stewart punch. I'm not sure what any of the other items manufacturers are.

Stamp some fun today,
Trude
