Matchbook style card. Used 12 inch paper that is cut 4 inches wide. Folded one end at 1 1/2 inches. Put a brad in the middle to hold it together. Folded the other end so it hooked under the flap. Stamped and mounted rose. The background circle stamp is Hero Arts.

Wedding card or Anniversary card

This card might take a little longer than 10 minutes. It has heart shaped eyelets set on after 2 overlapping hearts are stamped. Then the ribbon is threaded through the heart eyelets. Red, black and white papers and ink combine to make an elegant card.

Butterflies everywhere card

I think this is a Judikins butterfly background stamp. I stamped with purple ink on lavender paper. It is another quick card.
This week I have 'blog candy'! Everyone (in the U.S.A.) that comments on any of my blog entries this week will be put in a hat to win an item from Stampin UP! If you are the only one to comment, your chances are very good. It could be brads, paper, or stamps, but it will be worth your two seconds to comment!

Spring Fancy

Today's card is another spring themed card. It is also a quick 10 minute or less card. I used a Hero Arts background stamp with pink chalk ink and then stamped the sentiment and the butterfly body in black ink. Then I stamped a wing on the card front with Stampin Up classic ink and also on a piece of printed paper. I cut the printed paper wing out, glued it at a slight angle over the background wing. Punched out a couple of leaves and adhered leaves, flowers and a button to the left side of the card. Then I put a rhinestone in the middle of the butterfly body. The butterfly is a retired Stampin Up stamp. To buy the Stampin Up classic ink click HERE.

A Little Rain

This card seems appropriate for the spring weather we have had lately. It is a quick and easy card, kind of. I didn't have the stamp to stamp the words, so I used 'Word' to create this card. The outside says, "Into every life a little rain must fall...". The inside says,"Call me if you need an umbrella." There is an umbrella stamped beside the saying.

April 18 papercraft class cards

April 18th at Rockwood Adventist church, we will make these 2 cards in papercraft class. Come join us from 7-8PM. No charge for this class.

Springtime card

A simple 2 stamp card. Brighten someone's day with a spring bouquet of daffodils.
I used a striped background paper. I stamped the daffodil stamp on card stock and colored it with markers, then cut around it. I attached the background paper to the yellow card base, then the cut out daffodils. I stamped the sentiment, and that was it! Sweet and simple.

polished stone technique card

The tile in the lower corner was made with the polished stone technique. The camera didn't like it because it is shiny and pearlescent. But it is a nice effect and you can learn about it HERE

Treat bag

This little treat is quick and easy to make. I made this one for valentines day, but using the same Stampin' Around wheel you can give it to anyone you care about for any occasion. Try using different wheels for other occasions, Easter would be good.
You use a paper door know, the little signs that go over the door knob. Roll the wheel across it. Punch 2 holes in the top. put some treats in a small plastic bag and tape or staple to the back. Fold the door hanger around the treat bag, and put the ribbon through the punched holes. Tie a bow and you are done! Easy!
The wheel and ribbon are Stampin' Up. You should be able to find door hangers at a craft store, or make your own with a strip of paper and a 2 inch round punch.

Baby Card

A baby congratulations card that I made. I used a Fiskar texture plate to emboss hands and feet on the green background paper. It doesn't show in the picture, but it is there.

Dragonfly card

Dragonfly card
I used a dragonfly Rollagraph wheel with an embossing ink cartridge. I embossed the dragonflies with an iridescent blue embossing powder and layered it on a lime green paper strip that I put through a crimper. I used a dragonfly punch to punch a dragonfly shape then used diamond glaze to give it dimension.
The background is spritzed with a blue smooch spray then 1/3 of the card front is put through the crimper. I attached some hand spun fiber to the upper left corner.

Mini milk carton Easter project

I used Stampin Up's mini milk carton die for the Big Shot to make this Easter candy holder. I used the eyelet edge punch and the Everybunny Stampin' Around wheel to decorate the sides.
They are quick and easy and can be used for Easter Brunch place setting decorations.

Snowshoe trip

It was beautiful this weekend. I went snowshoeing and got a sunburn that is already peeling. Note to self....remember the sunscreen next time!

Throwback Thursday

This March Birthday card features a retired Stampin' Up! set. The set included 12 flowers, one for each month of the year. I also used Hot off the Press collage paper for the background.
