Tuesday Tutorial # 59

Good Morning!

Time for the new Tuesday Tutorial.

I suppose you have noticed that I haven't been posting as much as I did previously. Well, it just takes me longer to do everything with a broken leg, so I have backed off a little on the amount of blogging that I do. Just for now, then I will try to pick it back up again!

I used the First Sight stamp set for this week's tutorial.

Friday Friend Share

This pretty floral arrangement was created by my friend, Betty. She likes to create punch art cards.

I don't know the manufacture of the punches or dies she used.

Tuesday Tutoriald # 58 Celebrate!

Here's the card for this week's Tuesday Tutorial.  Ruth, one of my stamping friends, shared a similar card with me and I updated it using all Stampin' Up! products. It is a quick and easy birthday card, or any other type of celebration. You can switch the colors out to make it more masculine.

Friday Friend Share

Here's a card that my friend, Ruth, sent me. It is perfect for fall or even Halloween.

I don't know what company the owl and sentiment are from. And I'm not sure what she used for the background. I haven't seen designer paper like that, but it could be. The black trees give it a spooky feeling, but the bright splash of colorful leaves on the right lighten the mood and brighten the card.

There's a new owl stamp coming out in Stampin' Up!s Holiday catalog. It is in the hostess set. Host a class or workshop and get it with your host dollars!

Thanks for stopping by,
Trude

Tuesday Tutorial # 57

Greetings From Oregon...

Well, that is what my card says, but when you make it you can write the initials of the state in which you live in the circle.

This stamp set is called Greetings from and it has a bunch of small stamps that work great for inchies style cards.

Friday Friend Share

Hello,

Today I am going to share a card that I received from one of my friends. I may make this a regular feature. We will see.

This card was created by my friend Jeannie. She used a variety of punches and created a beautiful fall card.

The background was dry embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder (possibly Stampin' Up!s). The Decorative Labels punch and the oval punch (retired) are from Stampin' Up!

Thank you Jeannie for this beautiful fall card.

Have a blessed day,
Trude

Tuesday Tutorial # 56

Here's a card to get you started on your Christmas cards. It is a set that is a carry-over from last year and is in the annual catalog. I know you are ready to get your Christmas cards made, but it is still three weeks until the new Holiday catalog goes live. I imagine that  you have seen some sneak peeks of products that are in the new catalog. They are all over Pinterest already. I just received my first shipment yesterday evening and I am getting ready to play with some new products and post them too.

Settin' Sail Birthday Card

Did you know that Stampin' Up! has this cute little stamp set? Some people think it is retired, but actually it is still available as long as supplies last. It makes cute little cards. This one is about 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

I used the new Seaside embossing folder for the background. Really like this folder. It is one of the new 6" x 6" format folders so you can do more with it. I like the 6" x 6" folders because you can use them vertically or horizontally for your card backgrounds and the cards fit!

Pop of Paradise Card Candy # 5

Here is the final piece of card candy that I created for this set.

Pop of Paradise, Card Candy, Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!

This sentiment in the set was tough for me. I wanted to make a piece of card candy using each stamp. I didn't know what to do with this one. Finally I grabbed the sunburst thinlit, cut it out, stamp the sentiment and then used a square framelit to cut it to size. Then I added the colored circles behind and the stars on top.

And here is the entire set so that you can see it together. Which one would you choose to create a card? The color turned out better on this collection, more true to what they actually look like. Even the one with the gold foil oval around it shows up well.

Tuesday Tutorial # 55 Mixed Borders Card

It looks like I am into fall! What happened to all my sunny summer cards? I will have to remedy that!

This card was created with the Mixed Borders stamp set. The sentiment and one of the leaf sprigs are embossed with copper embossing powder.

Pop of Paradise Card Candy # 4

The fourth one is another one that I created with the flamingo.

Pop of Paradise, card candy, flamingo, Stampin' Up!, Stamp with Trude

This card candy is a classic cameo style and would be easy to use on any card just as it is, or added to other background elements.

I used the new layering ovals and the botanical builder framelits. I also added Wink of Stella to the flamingo for an added pop.
