Anyone ready for a spot of tea? I used the new Hug in a Mug stamp set along with the sentiments from Balloon Celebration to create this card. I liked the delicate flowers on the Petal Garden Designer Series paper, so I thought I would pair it up with the tea cup. It would make a great invitation to a tea party. High Tea anyone?

Friday Friend Share- Birthday Card
Betty made this card for my birthday. She said she used a premade card base and added the flowers and sentiment.
Good job Betty. Good luck with some of the other wilder graphics in the set! I'm not sure it would be easy for me to put a card together with bold chevrons and stripes in the background either.

Stampin' Up! has had quite a bit of "Coloring" paper lately. Paper that you can color with markers, ink pads, sponges, and spray bottles were the first to come out. Now there is paper that you can color with crayons and colored pencils in addition to the other techniques.
Here's a card that Kim made with the colorable Sale-A-Bration paper. Love it! Thanks for sharing. She filled in the background too!

Here's a card that speaks of spring. It is from Jeannie. She used the twisted paper technique to create a flower to embellish this card. Have you tried this technique yet? I have not tried it. I think it would be cute for a special scrapbook page.
Jeannie also distressed the edges of the leaves and crumpled them for some added interest and texture. The white box on the upper right could also be used for a sentiment.

Tuesday Tutorial # 96 One Big Meaning
One Big Meaning Thank You card
Have you noticed that I haven't been sharing all the new stuff that I have been getting during the demonstrator pre-order? Well, that's because I haven't had time to create any new projects. I had to schedule all my blog posts before my son and his girlfriend came for a visit. And then I was too busy doing sightseeing trips and other fun stuff.I promise that now that I am back to the routine (but still trying to catch up on everything) I will start to share some fun new products.

Okay, I know you must be wondering why I am sharing Betty's Autumn greeting card today. Well, I am getting really sick of all the rain we have had this spring and when I looked at this card I saw a big sun shining. I thought, "That would be really easy to switch out and create a spring themed card."
Use green on the leaves instead of the fall colors and switch the sentiment to say, "Hello Spring!"
Betty used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. This stamp set is on the retiring list and will only be available through May 31, 2017.

Tuesday Tutorial # 94 Thoughts and Prayers
Thoughts and Prayers Encouragement Card
This uses the Baby Wipe Technique. I like it for this stamp set. I added a twist to the basic technique that I shared in my Wednesday 101 tutorial about the Baby Wipe Technique. In that tutorial the dots of ink were random. For this card the ink is placed in specific spots.

Love the colors of this card and the die cuts from a Tim Holtz die set.
Jeannie has an old hymnal that she uses for background papers. I think that's a great idea. It wouldn't be an archival paper but most people don't keep cards forever anyway.
Stampin' Up!s Wild About Flower stamp set could be used to create a similar card to this.

Tuesday Tutorial # 44 Timeless Love Anniversary Card
A day late, but in the ballpark!
Do you have one of those lives? Not enough hours to do everything you need to do let alone do the things you want to do?
Sometimes things crowd out my blogging. Some things in life just can't be put off. So, here it is, late again but I think it is worth the wait. This card is my take on a card that is in the annual catalog. Can you find the original?

Throwback Thursday # 30
Another Episode of Throwback Thursday!
I have had too many other things to keep me distracted and busy and I haven't had the opportunity to pull out a retired stamp set and create a card, so today I decided to go for it!
Here is my creation...
I used a set called Botanical Garden.
It is always tricky to photograph shiny materials. There are multiple shiny surfaces on this card. The Panel with the iris is glossy white paper that Stampin' Up! used to carry. The frame behind it is silver foil paper and is still available. The background is also embossed and inked on glossy white paper. The silver satin ribbon is still available.
I used the Elegant Dots embossing folder to emboss the background. Then I used a Happy Pattern stencil over the top and spritzed it with Wisteria Wonder reinker mixed with rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer. I like the way it turned out and the technique is real easy!
