Remember this Embellished Ornament set that came out last fall and was carried over to this year's Annual Catalog?
I used current Designer Series paper and the Real Red Glitter Stampin' emboss powder. I think it makes a nice updated version. It's also fun because it is a window card. Get the tutorial below!

Friday Friend Share
One thing that I like about rubber stamping is that it is easy to be creative, even if you can't draw.
Here's a card from my friend, Kim. She may be able to draw, I don't know, but this is a fun card that she put together on the theme of creativity. I think it illustrates that concept quite well!

My friend, Betty, made this red bird Christmas card for me. I think the branches are from a Stampin' Up! set that is now retired (not positive about that).
I sure wish that we had cardinals on the west coast. I have seen them in Tennessee and Nebraska! They are beautiful, my favorite color!

I am a fan of this stamp set because of the strawberry! If you attend a class at my home you will know why. ☺

Tuesday Tutorial # 68
Here's another Clean and Simple (CAS) Christmas card with a touch of elegance. I love to create quick cards when it gets this close to the holidays. And I like elegance with a little shimmer and sparkle. This card is both. The glitter in the embossing powder and the glimmer paper don't show up well in this photo, but the sparkle is there!

Friday Friend Share
My Friday Friend Share this week is from my friend, Jeannie.
She used a Stampin' Up! embossing folder, that is now retired, for the frame. Then used 5 different embossed squares and one square tied with ribbon to create a card that resembles a quilt. Although, the ribbon tied square makes me think of a gift. It would make a nice birthday card, or with switched out colors, a Christmas card.

Thanksgiving Card in a Box
Have you tried making one of these? The first one I created was at a demonstrator meeting and it took at least an hour to make. I decided they were too labor intensive and that I wouldn't make another one.
But here I am, trying again. I can't say that the process was any less time consuming. Maybe it just takes practice. The actual card in a box base is not very hard to create. But, trying to decide how to decorate it and place the elements is what makes it time consuming for me. I'm not sure if I will keep trying or just give it up. I have seen some really wonderful examples on Pinterest.
Products I used:
Lovely as a Tree stamp set
Papillion Potpourri stamp set
Acorny Thank You stamp set
Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set
Elegant Butterfly punch
Bitsy Butterfly punch
Leaflets Framelits
Chocolate Chip cardstock
Crumb Cake cardstock
Tangerine Tango cardstock
Delightful Dijon cardstock
Daffodil Delight cardstock
Peekaboo Peach cardstock
So Saffron cardstock
Cajun Craze cardstock
Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' ink
I would love to hear about your adventures if you have tried making this type of card! I love reading your comments.
