TGIF! and time for another Friday Friend share.

This is a friendship greeting card that my friend, Ruth, created. It is a fun way to use Washi tape!

Tuesday Tutorial # 41 Friendly Wishes Polka Dot card

I'm finally getting around to posting the Tuesday Tutorial for this week.

I've been at the hospital all day, every day for 10 days to be with my husband. He had major surgery and is now home to continue the recuperation! He is very happy to be home and I am happy to be home too! Now I can catch up on my blog!

This week's card is perky, fun and quick to make.

Choose Happiness Friendship Card

Here's a card I made today with a set that I haven't had a chance to use much and another set that I haven't previously used at all!

I wanted to create a card with the Banner Banter stamp set that has been in my drawer for probably a year. I just keep overlooking it whenever I design cards. I was looking at my other sets to see what I could put it with and saw the sentiment in the Choose Happiness stamp set. I thought they would work well together, so I created this card.

stampwithtrude.blogspot.com , Trude Thoman, Stampin' Up!, Choose Happiness, friendship card,
I used:
Paper- Cherry Cobbler card stock, Whisper White card stock, Lost Lagoon card stock
Ink- Cherry cobbler ink, Lost Lagoon ink, Jet Black Stazon ink
Stamp set- Choose Happiness, Banner Banter
Other- Banner framelit, banner punch, Stampin' sponge

I  stamped off one time before stamping each branch on the card background. I didn't want the background to overwhelm the focal point.

Have a blessed day!

Paper Pumpkin Card

This is my redo of the card in the Paper Pumpkin introductory kit from Stampin' Up! It isn't a lot of changes. I just flipped the card and put the elements on slightly different from the original layout. Then I added a piece of bakers twine to the button before I attached it to the card.

This is a quick and easy card and Stampin' Up! has done all the prep work for you!

Try Paper Pumpkin for 1 month.

Thank you and have a happy day!

Gingham Garden Greeting Card

Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!, greeting card
This is the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper that is in the new Stampin' Up! 2013-2014 catalog. Isn't it cute? Only 2 weeks until the catalog goes live!

See the flower on the left side? That is one that is made with the new Simply Pressed Clay and mold. It is super easy to make these cute little embellishments. I spritzed this one with a Stampin' Spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and 25 drops of Daffodil Delight reinker. When it was dry I touched the high spots with craft white ink.

I used the window framelits to cut the layered center and an oval framelit to cut the sentiment out.

Stamp with Trude, Stampin' Up!, Friendship card, Teeny Tiny Wishes, SSC41

This is my entry for the color challenge at Sunday Stamps!

Feeling Sentimental Greeting Card

stamp with trude
This is another card that we did in our February stamp club.

The phone booth is from the Feeling Sentimental stamp set.

This is a fun technique card. The background paper is lightly sponged with red. The black dots are punched with the 3/8" circle punch.

For the phone booth I used the emboss resist technique. I stamped the phone booth on a piece of Real Red card stock using VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder. Then I used a sponge dauber to heavily ink the piece with Basic Black Classic Stampin' ink. The final step is to polish the embossed image with a paper towel to remove any traces of ink.

All Occasion Stampin' Up! Card

http://stampwithtrude.blogspot.com Stampin' Up! greeting card by Trude Thoman

Cheery Hello card. Lively color combination for the hot days of summer!
It was 91 degrees  today and finally just had to go down and sit by the river for some cool air. Sometimes I miss having an air conditioner in the house, but definitely not the electric bill that goes with it!

I believe the stamp is a retired Stampin' Up! stamp.

See current Stampin' Up! products at my store

Stay cool!

What's Up? Greeting Card

click on photo to view details
The front looks like there is a dark trim along the edge, but it is just a shadow. This is a bright and cheery card. Fun for a friend you haven't heard from for awhile. I used Brilliance ink to stamp the sentiment and the decorative border. I know that it isn't the most popular ink right now, but I still love it.

Rain or Shine Card

A spring themed card. It rains a lots here, so this is an appropriate card. The greeting inside, "Rain or Shine, You're a Friend of Mine." I believe it is a retired D.O.T.S. set.
