Friday Friend Share
This card, by Jeannie, is a great card for this time of year. It embodies the carefree days of childhood. Sitting in a swing, enjoying the motion and the breeze in the middle of a long summer day.

Strawberry Season Banner
It's time to post a new banner for the new season. I decided to create a strawberry banner this time. Strawberries say, "June", to me. I love the bright red color of strawberries. Oregon has a special type of strawberry call Hood and they are sweet and wonderful for jam and also eating with shortcake and ice cream. I bought a flat last week and made some jam. They were so good!
This banner turned out quite large because I used the biggest heart framelit. The banner is just over a yard wide. I used 2 dies from the Flower Frenzy Bigz die to create the flowers. The strawberry cap was die cut with a Spellbinder die.
The paper I used is from the Basic Designer Series Paper stack that is retiring. In fact everything on this banner that is Stampin' Up! will no longer be available after June 2, 2015 but if you already have these items, you too can make this banner! Even though the supplies are all retiring, I am publishing this because you can use it as an idea starter. It's so bright and cheery that I may even leave it up longer than the month of June!
Thanks for stopping by today!

By the Seashore Banner
Hello, I've been distracted lately and haven't posted like I should.
Today I jammed my toe, want to see a photo?
See that little spot of jam? Guess what kind it its?
That's right! It is strawberry jam making season! This is the BEST kind of toe jam! Susie and I bought some Hood strawberries at a nearby farm stand. Hood berries are wonderful jam berries. When I was younger, much younger, I used to pick Hood strawberries for Smuckers at a farm in Oregon City. Those were the days! I believe we got paid about 75 cents for a crate (flat) and the crates were larger than they are now days.
Susie and I had a counter full of sweet red strawberry jam filled containers by the time we were through.
Yesterday Susie and I finished our summer beach banners. It was well past time, in my opinion, to take down my spring one. The spring banner was lovely, but I love summer best. Here's how mine turned out. I don't have a photo of Susie's. I will have to get her to send me one so that I can post it too. Hers is different than mine.
I love going to the beach and these elements remind me of a wonderful day down on the Oregon Coast.
The pop bottle, pail and shovel are printed from My Digital Studio (©Stampin' Up!). The crab and shells are from the By the Seashore stamp set.
I have a couple more projects to share, so see you back soon!

I used the hexagon punch and punched out hexagons from the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper Pack.
The banner was created with My Digital Studio. and the Splatter stamp is from the Paper Pumpkin Welcome kit.
If you were wondering why there is a piece of paper over the photo on the workshop scrapbook page, it is to protect the innocent :-) We were camping with a fun group of friends and relatives!
Have a blessed day,
Trude
