Here's another card that I created with the You're Sublime stamp set. The set is a carry-over from last year's catalog. I made a scrapbook page with the set and then set it aside and didn't do anything else with it for almost a year. Now I am having some fun with it.

Thoughts and Prayers Encouragement card

I saw this card in the previous catalog and I thought I would try to do a little update on it. I still think it needs something. I don't know if it needs an addition, a subtraction or just a general change.

Balloon Clelebration Birthday Card

Do you need to make a quick card for a birthday? Here it is! This card used one stamp set and two colors of paper.

I stamped off each of the clouds one time before I stamped them on the cardstock. I didn't want them to overpower the balloons!

There's even a punch that matches the balloons so that you don't have to cut them out by hand! Love it!

In the Meadow Greeting card

Hello,
This card is a CASE directly from the previous Stampin' Up! catalog. I haven't seen too many cards made with this stamp set, and yet it has been in the catalog for a year. I think that it makes a sweet scene.

Do you use the catalog to get stamping ideas? I do! Most of the time I do not do an exact copy like I did here. Usually I look at a card layout, then I change the papers, colors and stamps. It looks nothing like the original except the layout is the same.

Did you know that Stampin' Up! encourages their demonstrators to Copy And Share Everything (CASE)? I know some demonstrators freak a little bit when other people use their designs. I don't mind at all if you copy my cards. You can copy them exactly or switch out the paper, colors or stamps; any or all of the elements! Go for it! If you copy my card and email me a copy of it, I will even put it on my blog and give you credit!

Something for Baby card

This is a catalog CASE. Can you find it in the previous Stampin' Up! catalog? It is very close to the original, other than the colors.

All of the pieces are stamped and then die cut with the matching framelits. Love those framelits!

I used Pool Party, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight for the inks on this card. I used Pool Party cardstock for the card base and Whisper White cardstock for all the background blocks and to stamp the images on.

I used the stamp set Crazy About You for the sentiment.

May Paper Pumpkin Remake

May's Paper Pumpkin kit was masculine themed cards that you could use for Father's Day, birthdays, etc.

I am not sharing the original cards with you today. You can see the original Paper Pumpkin projects on Pinterest. Today I am sharing my altered versions of a couple of the cards.

For this card I sponged Night of Navy ink over the die cut front. I also used Wink of Stella (clear) on the Happy to make it sparkle.

Then I created these two cards with the paper that I had used under the die cuts when I sponged them.

The kit came with extra "Happy" stickers and extra star epoxy stickers so I used the extras to create these two cards. I completed them by stamping birthday greetings on the insides.

Tuesday Tutorial # 49

It's Tuesday already! I didn't think I was even going to get this done and posted before the day was over, but I'm almost there. Yay!

Are you having extreme weather? We did today. Some places in the Portland area got hail that covered the ground and looked like it had snowed. The hail was 1/2" across.

I didn't get any hail at my house, but I did hear lots of thunder rolling around and we lost power for just long enough so that we had to reset the microwave and stove clocks.

We also had torrential rain showers interspersed with breaks in the clouds that allowed the sun to dry the roads very quickly, even while rivers were still running down the edges! Ah, spring!

You're Sublime Mini Treat Bags

Aren't these some cute little crabs?

They are from the You're Sublime stamp set. I like this stamp set but I've only made two projects with it so far. I have to get with it and use some of the other stamps in the set.

This project is simple. It goes together quickly. That's why it is the treat holder for my workshop participants this month. 

The papers are retired Designer Series paper stacks. The current Designer series paper stacks have similar dots in them so would look pretty much the same. I used retired ribbon too, but Stampin' Up!s ribbon is made to coordinate with their products, so anything that is current will work great!

The treat bag framelit and the You're Sublime stamp set are currently available. Those two items are the basics for these bags and you can accessorize them in many fun ways.

Wild About Flowers card

This is a remake of a card in the 2015/2016 Annual Catalog. Stampin' Up!s policy is to encourage everyone to Copy and Share Everything (CASE). So I have been doing that with several of the cards in the catalog to see what I come up with when I switch a few things out. 

With this card I switched out the ribbon, and the color of the card stock. I also used Washi tape instead of the stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set and I used a different splatter. The splatter on the original card is also from the Gorgeous Grunge, but there are other splatter stamps in the catalog, so I chose to use the one from the Awesomely Artistic set instead.

Circle of Spring Thank You card Meets Pop of Pink

I'm finally using this stamp set. It is one of the last ones that I bought before the new catalog showed up in my mail box. 
I decided to make a similar card to the one that is in the 2016 catalog. I just updated the paper to the new Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper. This chevron paper is black and white and you can add any color to it, so of course I added Melon Mambo for that true Pop of Pink. 

I used a Stampin' Spritzer to  apply the color to the Designer Series Paper strip, but you could also sponge it on or brayer it on to get the same effect. I also spritzed some of the Melon Mambo onto the Whisper White cardstock to add interest to the 'white space'.

Flower Patch Birthday card with In-Colors

Here's a stamp set that I haven't worked with much. I thought I would use it to create a card with the new In-Colors. The problem is that I do not have the In-Color Designer Series paper stack yet, so I had to use Island Indigo as the background paper instead of Dapper Denim. 

Don't you think that the new In-Colors blend well together in the flowers? That shouldn't be surprising, Stampin' Up!s colors are created to work well with each other. They don't even have to be in the same color family (Regals, Brights, Neutrals, Subtles).

I found the card design on Pinterest. The Original was created by Carolina Evans. I didn't change much besides the color palette. I did add a few leaves so that you could see the new Emerald Envy In-Color.

The New catalog is now LIVE so all the new In-Colors can be ordered and used to create beautiful projects.
