Throwback Thursday # 30

Another Episode of Throwback Thursday!

I have had too many other things to keep me distracted and busy and I haven't had the opportunity to pull out a retired stamp set and create a card, so today I decided to go for it!

Here is my creation...

Botanical Garden, Stampin' Up!, #stampinup, Stamp with Trude, greeting card, floral, Throwback Thursday

I used a set called Botanical Garden.

It is always tricky to photograph shiny materials. There are multiple shiny surfaces on this card. The Panel with the iris is glossy white paper that Stampin' Up! used to carry. The frame behind it is silver foil paper and is still available. The background is also embossed and inked on glossy white paper. The silver satin ribbon is still available.

I used the Elegant Dots embossing folder to emboss the background. Then I used a Happy Pattern stencil over the top and spritzed it with Wisteria Wonder reinker mixed with rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer. I like the way it turned out and the technique is real easy!

Sweetheart Banner

Yes, I know that Valentine's Day has come and gone. But I had an idea for a banner and I had to make it before the idea was gone.

I was making a pile of envelopes for my card making classes and the thought came to me to use the envelope punch board to create little envelopes for a banner. The smallest envelope on the board wasn't quite small enough so I just figured it out.

I used last year's Valentines paper stack because I was just playing. But I think it would look really cute in this year's Valentine's paper stack too. Actually it might be even cuter in this years paper. Here's what the paper stack looks like. It's called Love Blossoms.

I also used Blushing Bride Glimmer paper, Real Red Glimmer paper, and Vellum.

I am so glad to see some sunshine today that I decided it was time to spread some sunshine around. Leave a comment on any post on my blog through the end of April 1st, then email me your address and I will send you some sunshine mail. No fooling!

Thanks for stopping by my studio today!

Tuesday Tutorial # 39 Rose Wonder Wedding Wishes

Has it been awhile since you have tried using vellum on your paper creations? Vellum softens the appearance of the card.
For this card I put the vellum through the Decorative Dots embossing folder. I like how it added texture and softened the stark lines of the rose die cut.

Tuesday Tutorial # 38 Pretty Petals Friendship card

Have you seen the Tin of Cards kit yet? It is fun to put together. You do need to buy the kit and the stamp set separately, but if you contact me, or your regular Stampin' Up! demonstrator if it isn't me, I have the stamp set and we can get together and complete your kit!

I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) one of the Card Tin kit cards to create this card.
