I finally got a card made today. I really like this cute set from the new Stampin' Up! catalog. It's called Sea Street and reminds me of the graphics you might find on signs and buildings while strolling through a seaside town. I am going to be making a bunch of birthday cards and thank you cards with this set. I used a greeting from the Perfect Pennant set; the Sea Street set doesn't have any sentiments in it.
I used the colors that Hand Stamped Sentiments is currently challenging stampers to try. And I used the card technique that Technique Time Tuesday is featuring this month.

Ah...SO cute! I love that you used the new set in this fun folded card! Great use of the colors and the little smile on the octopus is fun! Thanks for joining us at HSS!
ReplyDeleteThanks Krista. I do like this set and look forward to creating more cards with it...maybe even for another fun HSS challenge!
DeleteThis is ADORABLE! I love how the card fold makes it look like ocean waves, how appropriate! Great new set, thanks for giving us the sneek peek! Glad you joined us for the color combo at HSS! Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. I'm sure we will see more great cards with this new set. The HSS colors were just perfect for this set.
DeleteSo super cute! I love your fancy fold and fun octopus! Great use of the colors with the new set! Thanks for joining us at HSS!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was the first time I tried this type of fancy fold and it seemed the right setting to try out this new set on.
DeleteWhat a fun card! I love how the card seems to have movement with the cool folding and cutting technique you have featured. I am so glad you included your card in our color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Smiles, Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteThank you Elizabeth. You make a great point. I hadn't thought about the folding and how it adds to the 'movement' on the card. There are so many design aspects to think about when creating a card and that would be one more thing to put on a list...'movement'.
