Mojo Monday 345 Sea Street Birthday Card
I went a little bit crazy today. I wanted to do some Sea Street cards that weren't the standard colors, you know, the ones that are in the Designer Series Paper that goes with this stamp set. I really do love the colors of the DSP, but after awhile you want to see something different.
So, I started by making one card, then I wondered what it would look like in another color combination, and pretty soon I had made four cards the same, only with different colors.
First I used the color combination from Hand Stamped Sentiments. I think it turned out pretty cute. It would be great for my grand niece.
Then I tried the color combination from Pals Paper Arts. This is a much stronger combination and I think it would work well for one of my grand nephews.
Then I thought I would try the set with the color challenge from Sunday Stamps. It is a high contrast combination but I think I could find some young ladies that would love these. I say 'these' because I tried a couple of different combinations of the colors. Which one do you like?
I guess that is all for today. Thanks for checking it out!

Wow - love seeing your card in all the different colour combinations! It works well for all of them! I love the little port holes too! Thanks for playing along with us at Sunday Stamps.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joan. The little circles around the marine animals do seem like port holes. I guess I should have added the bolts to complete the effect!
DeleteI love seeing all the different color combinations you used with this card! Great card design--it reminds me of looking out of a porthole--very clever. Thanks for playing along with us at Sunday Stamps--please join us again soon!

Thanks Marie. I think I may try the multiple color combinations again sometime. It is such a great way to see what effect color has on a composition.
