Here's another card that I made from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.
I used the original card, paper bow and stamp set from the kit. I recreated the pocket tag, using the original as a pattern, with Designer Series Paper and a strip of rhinestones. I also used Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the sentiment.
This pocket tag/card set is fast and easy to make. Have fun with them!

Boys Will be Boys Birthday Card
I'm going to take a break from the April Paper Pumpkin remakes and post this card that I made. It is prefect for a boy's birthday, but I bet there are a few girls that would enjoy it too.
I used Tempting Turquoise card stock, Whisper White card stock, and Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper. The inks are Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Tempting Turquoise. I used a word bubble framelit to cut out the birthday greeting.
I used the masking technique to stamp the wall and floor behind the robot.
Have a blessed day,
Trude

Paper Pumpkin Remake # 2
Here's the second remake for the April Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin' Up!
The card is the one that comes in the kit. The stamps I used are also in the April kit. And the bow and Baker's twine come in the original kit.
So, my changes to the kit are:
I used the original pocket tag as a pattern for the pocket tag that I created with the Designer Series Paper. I used Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (2015 Sale-A-Bration). It has the perfect color combinations for the card base. Then I stamped the sentiments with Coastal Cabana (going to miss this ink!). The flowers are Calypso Coral.
It made a cute little Thank You card for one of my customers.
The kit this month does not come with envelopes. The pocket tags are meant to be tied on a package or around a bouquet or a bottle of Martinelli's.
You can get your subscription to Paper Pumpkin HERE!

Paper Pumpkin Remake # 1
I received the Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin' Up! a few days ago and I have been playing with it.
Here's the first remake:
I like the look of craft paper in masculine cards. So, instead of using the bows and papers that came with the kit, I grabbed some Night of Navy ink, the Adventure Awaits, and The Open Sea stamp sets.
I stamped the envelope with stamps from The Open Sea stamp set and then Added the stamped element from Adventure Awaits. I also used Thick Baked Brown Sugar Baker's twine instead of the twine that came with the kit.
For the card that goes inside the tag pocket, I cut a piece of Whisper white the same size as the kit cards. Then I added a piece of the Designer Series Paper that is in the Maritime paper pack. I stamped The Open Sea ship image on Whisper White and cut it out with an oval framelit die.

Thanks A Bunch Card
This card is made with items that are on the retiring products lists. It is a cheery springtime Thank You card.
I used the Occasions 4 You stamp set, which I have totally under-utilized this year. It is a nice bold set, which can overwhelm some card layouts. This card layout is a Mojo Monday sketch from 2010. I like to use Mojo Monday sketches, but they aren't always the current sketch. Mojo Monday keeps an archive of their sketches and it's easy to browse them, or even print them off. I stamped the sentiment with Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' ink.
Your may wonder what designer paper I used on the card base. Did you notice that the Spring Occasions catalog had an extra cover this year? It was advertising the Sale-A-Bration. I took the cover off and used the inside as Designer Series Paper for this card base (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!).
I used the 2013-2015 Designer Series Paper stack for the next layer. The scalloped paper is Calypso Coral card stock. The next layer is Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper. On top of that is Crisp Cantaloupe card stock then the top layer is Whisper White.
I used the large scallop edgelit for the bottom of the Calypso Coral layer. I used the Scallop border punch on the left edge of the Crisp Cantaloupe and then used the 1/8" circle punch to punch the little holes along the scallops. I used Boho Blossom for the flowers and Pistachio Pudding Thick twine for the ribbon and bow. Finish it off with a little glitz of rhinestones.
Have a blessed day,
Trude

Flower Garden Quilt Mother's Day Card
Here's another card that I made with the Hexagon Embossing folder. I also used the Honeycomb Hello stamp set.
I don't think it is overkill to give my mom two different quilt cards in the same year; she loves quilts. Her mother used to make flower garden quilts.
I used Wisteria Wonder card stock, Whisper White card stock, Crushed Curry ink, Calypso Coral ink, Crisp Cantaloupe ink, Melon Mambo ink, and Rose Red ink (I think).
The embossed lines are not as dark as the lines on the card that I posted earlier because this is the second piece of paper I put through the embossing folder, and for this one I didn't reink it.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hexagon Quilt Card
Here's a card that I created because I haven't played with these items much. I have had the hexagon embossing folder, punch and stamp sets that go with them, but just haven't pulled them out to play with.
My mom makes a lot of quilts and it is her birthday next week, so I thought this would be a good theme for a card. Plus she has too many flowers to count, so it is a perfect fit; flowers and quilts.
I thought it would look pretty with a butterfly, so I added the Butterfly Basics stamp set butterfly and layered it on the die cut butterfly from the new Butterfly framelit set.
I used a brayer to apply Crushed Curry ink to the embossing folder before I ran it through the Big Shot. That's why you can see the embossed lines on the background paper.
I used Designer Series paper and the hexagon punch for the flowers and leaves. But if you want to you can use the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set and stamp and punch the flowers and leaves.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and I punched it out with the Word Window punch and matted it with the modern label punch.

Another Spring Banner
Here's the other spring banner I made. Flowers and butterflies are perfect for spring.
I used Stampin' Up! butterfly framelits for the butterflies. The stamped flowers are from the Crazy About You stamp set. I also used the Boho Blossom punch for the small flowers and the fringe scissors for the grass. The fence is stamped with the hardwood stamp.
Enjoy the day,
Trude

Spring Banner
Here's one of the two spring banners that I have created this year (not including the Easter banner).
I used many pretty papers from Stampin' Up! I also used Stampin' Up! punches, and cutting dies. I added wiggly eyes and wires to make the bugs, butterflies and birds real cute. Love the way it turned out and it brightens the room!

Easter Treat Bag Topper
This was something fun that I made for Easter. A friend posted the recipe on Facebook. She probably got it from Pinterest. It is called Easter Treat and it is a recipe from Connie Brumley Sutton.
The treat is made with mini pretzels, popcorn, rice chex, almond bark, Peanut M&Ms and Easter sprinkles. It got great reviews.
I decided to use some printed card stock from a Martha Stewart stack that I bought at least 5 years ago. It included stickers and I thought that would make some quick decorations.
I used the Stampin' Up! Top Note die to cut the paper. Then I used the Modern Label punch, the Word Window punch and the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the Easter greeting.
When I pulled the sticker off the backing sheet to apply it to the bag topper I discovered that the sticker was printed on the backing sheet! In other words, what was suppose to be the backing sheet that releases the label was actually the card stock sticker sheet that was suppose to be printed. So that means that the printed part was printed on the release paper and would not stick to the bag topper. That type of release paper WILL NOT stick with double side tape, glue or any other adhesive. I had to use a brad to attach it to the bag topper. If I had purchased the paper stack within the last 30 days I would have returned it to the craft store. I purchased it too long ago to do anything about it.
Have a blessed day,

Paper Pumpkin Remake
I think this is the last of the February and March Paper Pumpkin remakes. This is a remake of the envelopes that came with the accordion cards. I used it to create a little treat box for my friend for Easter. I filled it with Jelly Belly jelly beans.
I used the Crazy About You stamp set from Stampin' Up!s spring Occasions catalog. The leaves and flower are included with MANY words that you can combine to create greetings for almost any Occasion. It's a favorite from the catalog.
I believe I used Melon Mambo and Garden Green inks to stamp the box. The twine is the thick Bakers twine that was free during Sale-A-Bration.

Paper Pumpkin Remakes
I created some small cards with the February Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit was designed to create accordion Thank You cards and they are quite cute. They come with craft box-type envelopes that are really too thick to be mailed but are very nice to give to people in person.
I decided to alter the original project to make it more mailable. Here are some of the items I created.
I used the Crazy About You stamp set for the stamped sentiments on each card.
These are all small cards, about the size of a regular 'gift enclosure' card.
I also used the Sale-A-Bration papers, Irresistibly Yours, on each of the cards and sponged them with color. I really love these papers and hope that Stampin' Up! will have more of this type of paper available in future catalogs.

Paper Pumpkin Remake # 10- Celebrate
Here's the 10th remake that I made with the March Paper Pumpkin kit.
I used the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set along with the supplies from the kit. This is also the other half of the card from the kit that I cut in half. I matted it on Soft Sky and then adhered it to a fold piece of Whisper White card stock.
This is another card that I used markers to color in the YOU on. I also sponged the card with Daffodil Delight ink.
Have a blessed day!

Paper Pumpkin Remake # 9- Miss You
My card for today is an I miss YOU card. I created it with the March Paper Pumpkin kit, but I split the card in half because the front and back is printed and I made two cards out of the one! I adhered it to Pool Party card stock, used a Pool Party marker to color in the YOU and used "I MISS" from the Crazy About You stamp set that is in the Stampin' Up! spring Occasions catalog. Love that set, so many ways to use it. On the inside I stamped the word "already".
I hope that you have a Joyful Easter!

Paper Pumpkin remake # 8 Greeting Card
Here's yet another remake of Stampin' Up!s March Paper Pumpkin kit.
I used the Painted Petals flower stem to stamp along the bottom of the card and I also used one of the sentiments in the same set to stamp above the YOU.
I sponged the card base with Wild Wasabi ink, used a Wild Wasabi marker for the sentiment and also stamped the flower stems with Wild Wasabi.
I used some scraps from my scrap bin to punch the flowers from. I think I used Cherry Cobbler card stock, Real red card stock and Calypso Coral. I used the Boho Blossom punch.
Thanks for stopping by today,
Trude

Paper Pumpkin Remake # 7- Easter card
I used the Happy Easter Bunny stamp to create this Easter card. I colored the stripes on the card with markers, used a marker for the YOU, and stamped the Easter greeting words with the Crazy About You word stamp set. I stamped the bunny, colored it with markers and cut it out with a craft knife.
This dancing bunny is so fun! That is how I feel about spring, Happy, Happy!
We've had rain, thunder, and hail today...typical spring weather. The sun has even tried peeking out a couple of times!
Enjoy the day,
